This space here

I seem to have taken a sub conscience break from this space and have blogged a grand total of two times since moving last September. It was never intended, I guess I just have felt a little uninspired with all the transitions we've been through this year. I also tend to put so much made up pressure for this space on myself. I feel like for the most part almost everything here is super light hearted and care free. But I have such a love/ hate relationship with blogging and social media (which I could go on about another day, haha!). I just want people to know what is behind everything that I do. And that is Jesus. I don't want people who visit here to think I have any other motivation for anything because He's the motivation behind everything. I don't want people to think for a second that I'm just trying to glorify myself, my family, or anything other than Jesus.

Often times I get so caught up in the purpose behind posting absolutely anything so then I just end up posting nothing. But the truth is that if through this silly little space on the internet I'm able to tell someone who and what is behind the motivation for everything I do, then it's worth it. And let's be honest writing light hearted posts about birthday parties, kids, and house things is WAY easier than sharing bits of your heart and being vulnerable.

So if you're still reading...THANKS! I'm not sure what this space will continue to look like, and I'm sure that there will be many light hearted posts in the future, but I just wanted to get all this off my chest even if no one but myself reads this. Whew! Feels so much better!

Also I'm curious if anyone has any suggestions on what they would want to read about here? I'd love any comments!

  1. Hey! I love reading about Mommy stuff -- especially how people handle certain common situations with a Biblical perspective. No pressure! I will read either way.

    1. Thanks Kelly! Hope you guys are doing well!
