Natalie | 2 months

  • Weight: 13 lbs. 12 oz. (97%)
  • Clothing Size: 0-3, though I could probably pull out some 3-6
  • Diaper Size: 2

  • She is a super efficient eater now, as you can see by the picture above. Eating for maybe 10 minutes most feedings. She nurses about every 3 hours most days, for around 4-5 feedings a day.

    Firsts/ Development
    • SMILES!!! We got her first real smiles this month, and they are the best. She smiles so easily, it really makes me feel like proud mama, and melts my heart.  And they are so big you can barely see her eyes over her chubby cheeks.
    • She started talking and cooing this month as well. So, we've started the beginnings of some great conversations.
    • I've noticed she is starting to sprout some new hair this month, and has started growing a little hair line. We'll see if she ends up blonde like Noah and Everly.
    • Her eyes have started to lighten a bit and are still blue. I think Matt's hoping all three of our kids will be blonde hair, blues eyes like him.

    • Still no super solid routine, but she is starting to fall into one naturally. Toward the evening she gets super tired and fussy, falls asleep, and is usually out till morning. She would probably go to bed around 8ish if I didn't keep her downstairs with us to cuddle on the couch.
    • Still amazing at sleeping during the night. She's usually very sound sleeper and wakes to eat around 8am.
    • We're still swaddling her, mainly because I'm terrified to not. I mean, she sleeps like a dream, so...I'm not changing it for now.
    • I think this month we'll have to try and set up some more naps during the day. But man, it's hard with the third baby because we're usually running errands in the morning.

    • Earlier this month Noah and Everly spent a week in Michigan. So we got to spend a lot of extra one on one time with Natalie. Extra cuddles, extra naps, and extra netflix. Our house was super quiet, maybe a little too quiet towards the end of the week, but it was really good to just spend some quality time our littlest.
    • 2 months out I think I can safely say that the transition to three kids has been WAY easier on us than from one to two kids. Matt always says it just depends on the baby, and I agree. But so far things have been much smoother. Maybe part of it is just being way more confident and relaxed as parents.
